More pool time!!

"This is me with some of my friends, Hollis (and his mommy, Kim), and Izzy (and her mommy Lindsey). Parker is napping under the awesome tent that mommy and Mrs. Lindsey put together for us!!"~Mitchell

Fun in the sun...

"Ahhhh....this is the life!!"~Parker

(Mitchell was furious when we put Parker in the float too, so we had to turn him around so he couldn't see him!! He wanted that float to himself...hee hee!! We have to learn to share!!)
"Honestly, Parker...we have 2 floats, why do you have to be on mine!!"~Mitchell

(the funny thing is that Parker is sound asleep but we didn't know it b/c of those super cool sun glasses...*that Dadddy HATES!!)
"Hummm...how can I get Parker out of here??"~Mitchell

"Oh, mommy...I love Mitchell and Parker!! They have really fun floats!!"~Caroline

"Hollis, smile for the camera!! Let's show everyone how much we love to swim!!"~Mommy (Kim Watson)

"Mom, can I make it any more obvious that I do NOT want to swim right now!!"~Hollis

Our 6 Month Stats...

Well, now that we are 6 months old we have become much more challenging!! There have been times that I have wondered how I am going to get through it!! I have been very strict with NOT rocking the boys until they fall asleep so they would always be ok with going to sleep on their own. Unfortunately, I created a habit just as bad...I would lay them down and pat their tummy until they pretty much fell asleep. I don't know what I was thinking!! Well, it has REALLY turned around and bitten me in the butt!! At our 6 month doctor's appointment I went over all of this with our pediatrician and he said..."STOP, lay them in their crib and let them cry it out. they have to learn coping skills!!" I thought, uh oh, I'm screwed!! this is NOT going to be fun!! And, sure enough, it isn't at all!! This afternoon they cried for an hour and 15 minutes before they finally fell asleep!! I thought I was going to blow my brains out listening to it!! I did the whole wait 10 mins. then go in and tell them that it was ok and time to go night night, then wait 15, 20, 25, and finally the 30 min. span got them to sleep!! It really is the hardest thing I have ever done!! I really just want to go right up and grab them and rock them right to sleep!! I am trying to stay diligent with this, though, so that they get on track!! I just have to try to stay positive and hope that this is just a phase and we will all survive!!

On a lighter note, they have started cereal and baby food!!! Mitchell absolutely loves everything you give him and Parker has started to come around but doesn't have quite the appetite that Mitchell does!! Ha ha!!
